Know what you'll pay
before you order.

PrixPoint is a free, crowdsourced price map for Montreal. Real people submit the prices they actually paid — for coffee, bread, and bagels — so you always know what's fair.

What is PrixPoint?

PrixPoint is a community-driven price transparency tool built for Montrealers. Open the map, find a café or bakery near you, and see what others recently paid for an espresso, a croissant, or a bagel.

No paywalls, no accounts required to browse. Just an honest, up-to-date look at everyday prices across the city.

How it works

  1. 1
Browse the map. Find cafés, bakeries, and bagel shops near you. Each pin shows the most recent price submitted for that spot.
  2. 2
Submit a price. Just paid for a coffee? Tap "+ Add price", find the venue, pick the product, and enter what you paid. No account needed. Fully anonymous.
  3. 3
Help others. Your submission appears on the map immediately, helping fellow Montrealers make more informed choices.

Why price transparency matters

Prices for everyday items like coffee and bread vary wildly across Montreal — sometimes by 50% or more between neighbourhoods. Most people have no way of knowing if they're paying a fair price until after they've ordered.

PrixPoint puts that information in everyone's hands, not just regulars and locals who've been going to the same spot for years.

Are you a venue owner?

You can claim your venue for free. Once verified, your listing gets a checkmark and you can make sure your prices and details are accurate. Featured listings are also available for businesses that want more visibility on the map.

Frequently asked questions

Is PrixPoint free to use?
Yes, completely. Browsing the map and submitting prices is always free. There are no ads and no subscription required.
Who submits the prices?
Regular people — anyone who just paid for something and wants to help others know the price. Submissions are anonymous and require no account.
How accurate are the prices?
Each submission shows when it was made. Prices can change, so we always show the most recently submitted price and how long ago it was added. The more people submit, the more accurate the map becomes.
Which neighbourhoods are covered?
PrixPoint covers all of Montreal. Coverage is denser in areas where more people have submitted prices — the Plateau, Mile End, Rosemont, downtown, and Old Montreal are well represented and growing.
Which products does PrixPoint track?
Currently: espresso, cortado, latte, americano, and cappuccino for coffee; baguette and croissant for bread; and plain, sesame, and everything bagels. More categories are planned.
